Vegetable Rice

 
Gather all ingredients together first:  2 minutes

Pre-cut all vegetables:  3 minutes

Cooking time:  15 minutes
 
Ingredients:
 

Onion 1
Rice 100 g
Tomato 1
Peas 50 g
Gralic 1 clove
Star aniseed 1 or 2
Curry leaves 2 or 3
Biryani powder ½ tsp
Ginger 1 Small piece
Grated coconut 20 g
Green chillies 1 or 2
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
Black pepper powder ½ tsp
Fresh coriander Leave 5-10 g
Salt to taste

 
Recipe:
 
  • Finely chop onions, green chillies, garlic, ginger and tomato.
  • Clean the raw rice with fresh water and add it in a bowl (micro-oven usable); add 2 tbsp of oil/butter/bread spread.
  • Add all the vegetables, all the spices/powders, grated coconut and salt to taste.
  • Add water (Rice: Water ratio – 1 : 2).
  • Stir it for a minute.
  • Cook in Micro-oven for about 12-13 minutes.
  • Serve it on a plate.
