Onion Pakora

 
Gather all ingredients together first:  2 minutes

Gather all utensils and lay out on counter:  2 minutes

Preparation time:  8 minutes

 
Ingredients:

Onion

1

Ginger

1 small piece

Green chillies

1 or 2

Gram flour (Besan)

40 g

Oil

250 g

Garam masala powder

¼ tsp

Black pepper powder

¼ tsp

Red chillies powder

¼ tsp

Turmeric powder

¼ tsp

Cumin Seeds

½ tsp

Coriander seeds powder(Dhania)

¼ tsp

Salt

to taste

 

Recipe:

  • Slice onion and finely chop ginger, chillies, then add it in a bowl.
  • Add gram flour (besan), garam masala powder, black pepper powder, red chillies powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder and salt (to taste) with bit of water.
  • Mix it well like a coating for onions.
  • Add oil to a frying pan and heat the oil until hot, then reduce the flame to medium level.
  • Take the onion mix in small portions and deep fry it, till it turns to be a golden brown.
  • Drain the excess oil on paper towel.
  • Serve it on a plate with any chutney/sauce/dip of your choice.
