Mushroom Masala (Mushroom Curry)

 
Gather all ingredients together first:  2 minutes

Pre-cut all vegetables:  3 minutes

Cooking time:  10 minutes

 
Ingredients:
 

Onion 1
Mushroom 150 g
Tomato 1
Peas 50 g
Green chillies 1 or 2
Oil 2 tbsp
Ginger and garlic paste ¼ tsp
Garam masala powder ¼ tsp
Black pepper powder ¼ tsp
Red chillies powder ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
Coriander seeds powder(Dhania) ¼ tsp
Salt to taste

 
Recipe:
 
  • Chop mushroom (button) into half pieces.
  • Finely chop onions and slice tomato.
  • Heat the frying pan and add 2 tbsp of oil.
  • Add cumin seeds and once it begins to sizzle add onions and fry until golden brown.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste and stir it for a few seconds.
  • Add red chillies powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and black pepper powder.
  • Stir it for a minute.
  • Add in tomato slices, sprinkle salt to taste and fry it again till it melts.
  • Add chopped mushrooms and peas.
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Serve with roti/naan bread (Indian bread).
