Cauliflower Bhaje (South Indian style)

 
Gather all ingredients together first:  2 minutes

Gather all utensils and lay out on counter:  2 minutes

Preparation time:  6 minutes

 
Ingredients:

Cauliflower

100 g

Gram flour (Besan)

40 g

Oil

250 g

Red chillies powder

¼ tsp

Turmeric powder

¼ tsp

Salt

to taste

 

Recipe:

 
  • Cut cauliflower in small pieces.
  • In a bowl, add gram flour (besan), red chillies powder, turmeric powder and salt (to taste) with bit of water.  Make it as thick batter.
  • Add oil to a frying pan and heat the oil until hot, then reduce the flame to medium level.
  • One by one, dip cauliflower pieces in batter and then deep fry it, till it turns to be a golden brown.
  • Drain the excess oil on paper towel.
  • Serve it on a plate with any chutney/sauce/dip of your choice.
